Children around the World Max René's interest for children and the conditions under which they live led him to start a cooperation with the international charitable organisation, Save the Children, in 1995. - In my many journeys I have seen how children live under the most awful conditions and how poverty limits their education and ruins their health. You feel totally helpless when you see a child without a future, but if all of us just gave a small amount, millions of children could have a better childhood, says Max René. ![]() Max René wearing a 'Save the Children' tie on a visit to Hong Kong Happy faces This experience resulted in Max René¹s develop-ing the 'Children a-round the World' project in addition to his watches. The smiling, colourful faces of children representing all the regions of the world were used to decorate watch faces, silk ties, scarves and umbrellas. According to his agreement with Save the Children, Max René donates 10% of the manufacturing cost of this series to the organisation's work. Smile again - In addition to the products we distribute ourselves Save the Children also sells them to companies who give them as gifts, and they often donate part of the price to the children's organisation. So, if one day you see a coloured silk tie with happy children's faces, smile back and do something yourself to give the children of the world a better future. |
